Bought these for ground search and rescue in Ontario to replace my trustworthy Oboz that were just not supportive enough for bushwhacking and sometimes rocky terrain. Didn’t know the Kayland brand, but the ROI team was very responsive to my inquiries and were able to comment on technical aspects of the boot that made me feel more confident about pulling the trigger. I have worn these on two outings and have no regrets. These are confortable, provide very good support and traction, and while some breaking in is required I have no blisters to show for it. In terms of sizing these were true to North American sizing, although you wouldn’t necessarily go wrong by picking half a size bigger if you like more breathing space.
